Major dye producers have developed a class of non-toxic dyes called Low Impact Fiber Reactive Dyes. This is the type of dye that we currently use for our Ergobaby products. These dyes have very high absorption to cotton fiber, and consequently use less dye stuff.  All major global certification standards in the US, Europe & Japan for organic fiber processing (NOP, IFOAM, GOTS, etc.) have accepted the use of these low-impact dyes.
